Off the kitchen sits the living room with sleek, minimalist design, leading to the backyard deck ideal for entertaining. Upstairs sits the three bedrooms, including a balcony off of the main bedroom. The two-story finished garage is home to a jam studio and lounge space. I’d love to know some of the paint colors and where some of the furnishings were purchased. Instead of a window seat, how about an extra twin bed space for those overnight guests? Another smart feature is the remote controlled shades that raise and lower on a whim, blocking out the sun. This HGTV Smart Home was a fun tour back in 2014 and still has gorgeous decor for today, hope you enjoy it all again!

"I did this throughout the design from color choices to art." The dining room leads visitors directly into an open chef's kitchen with stainless-steel appliances and a massive island with bar seating.

Thanks for the tip on the source lists – paint colors, tile and flooring are wonderful. And, the group shot of all of us who toured that day, from bloggers, to media folks, to the HGTV people who planned the house. "I worked with artist Karen Musgraves, mother of country music star Kacey Musgraves, to take Kacey's three album covers and reinterpret them into a 1960s paint-by-numbers style," Flynn reveals. Karen also created a hot pink guitar with a white background by looming it just like a rug that looks incredible in the home." Upon entering the house, guests come into the dining room and a den area inspired by the home's location.

HGTV has done it again and they are giving away another beautiful home, but this time it’s the brand new HGTV Smart home, a stunning Tudor style home located in the heart of Nashville, TN. What makes a smart Home? Technology at its best makes this the smartest home ever featured on HGTV. I had the privilege to be invited to tour this fabulous home last week in Nashville, along with some other bloggers and we had so much fun checking out all the really cool features in the Smart Home. Features that give homeowners control over climate, security, TV’s, and more. There were more televisions in the smart home than I’ve ever seen in a house, most of them tucked away and unobtrusive.

HGTV will also air the HGTV Urban Oasis 2022 one-hour special showcasing the home and contest on Thursday, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m. The brightly-decorated "podcast studio" on the second story features portraits of music legends like Bob Marley, Elvis Presley and The Beatles. "I included gorgeous felt art by Sam Sidney that showcases musical icons," says Flynn. The pink guitar is another piece by Karen Musgraves.

The approximately 2,500-square-foot, three bedroom, two full and two half bathroom home is located just 10 minutes from downtown. With contemporary architecture, the home is cosmopolitan with nods to the city and country music throughout the design. Upon entry, visitors will be instantly impressed by the natural light that greets them. The front door leads to an eat-in dining room and a den area with design inspired by country music greats. Beyond the dining room is a state-of-the-art kitchen with an expansive island and banquette seating area for eating.

She always does a fantastic job with design details. Like having your very own robot maid ready to do your every bidding. Beyond the main home, the Urban Oasis boasts a spacious garage with extra living space. Two garage doors — one on either side of the structure — open to create an open air hangout, which is fully furnished to serve as a jam studio and a lounge, according to an HGTV press release.

He adds, "In terms of color, I leaned into neutral and classic colors in the interior of the home, as are traditionally found throughout designer homes in Nashville, but chose a standout dramatic dark blue exterior." I love the layout of the home, as well as the double-decker porch with the gorgeous nature views. I can easily envision having my coffee and reading the newspaper there.
